Hopen-Idyll in Schneverdingen

I only visited the cafe. it was all full. the comment from the waitress was not very friendly. It seems nicely decorated. I can't write any more.

Good and cheap cake selection, very nice service

We went to Café Höpen for coffee and cake today. Very good cake and great tea, and attentive service. We were very satisfied and would love to come back.

Traditional interior design and very hard-working staff, who are quickly behind. In addition, the café is located higher up so that you have a nice view. The toilets were also very clean. Large kitchen pieces and details in the cocoa stand out in this café. Note the receipt;)

Very nicely located and really delicious cake. Very friendly service and super clean, also exemplary when dealing with Corona.

Comfortable to sit outside. You can look out over the country from there. The cake offered was delicious. I can only recommend the Friesentorte. Unfortunately, the wasps were quite aggressive. But you have to live with that at this time of year. I found it disadvantageous that the toilet is in the basement. I found it disadvantageous for older people.

We (couple) went for coffee / cake in the café and Pension Höpen-Idyll. The best thing for us was "unfortunately" only the view of the "valley" and the friendliness of the service staff. The coffee was ok, the cake unfortunately not at all. You can't argue about taste, as it is individual, but during our week in the Lüneburg Heath we ate four different pieces of buckwheat cakes and the one in the Höpen Idyll was by far the worst, much too creamy. The eggnog cake wasn't a revelation either. Large pieces do not mean delicious or, in other words, quantity instead of quality. We would prefer and recommend other cafes.

Really an idyll with a wonderful view. The bike was easy to park right in front of the inn. Children can discover a lot outside. Inside, more of the eighties flair. The menu for hot dishes is simple and clear. Cakes and pies are plentiful on offer. Gladly again.

We, two befriended couples, spent a wonderful week in the Höpen idyll. The rooms are a good size and everything is clean. Good wifi. Fine breakfast with everything you could wish for. There is a large lounge available. Disadvantage: steep stairs. We did not use free parking spaces, sun loungers outside, and a small indoor swimming pool. Very friendly staff. The Höpen-Idyll is well located, a few minutes into the intoxicating heath with miles of hiking trails. We really liked the area. We would like to thank the Inselmann family.

Very neat pieces of cake! Coffee and tea were impeccable too. The idea with the fly swatters at the table because of the wasps is really smart. Despite the huge crowd, everyone kept their nerve! The waitress thanked for the patience, although we didn't have to wait long for the order. The view of the "valley" is very nice. From here you can go on excellent hikes / walks.

This is a very good café in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Schneverdingen. From the terrace there is a wonderful view that extends as far as Hamburg in good weather. Particularly noteworthy is the wide selection and the quality of the cake offered.

I stayed here on a bike tour (Wümme bike path) and was very satisfied. Quiet single room with a beautiful view, very friendly hosts, great swimming pool, best breakfast and not too top location right on the beautiful heath landscape. The atmosphere is familiar, the wonderful garden is also available to guests. We recommend! Would go back anytime.

Slowly and not aimed at tourists at all. Charging e-bike batteries not wanted, you have to activate the socket for it. Several meals not available, although on a day ticket (will only come tomorrow). Overwhelmed operation. Location actually great with a great view.

The staff friendly, the white chocolate cake was good, portion normal size. The rhubarb cake was already too dry. For € 3.30 each, only 30ct cheaper than cake. The price wasn't reasonable.

Simple short break in a café. The homemade cakes are delicious and have a decent size. The teas and their presentation are sensational. And we had a very nice and attentive waiter. We will be back definitely. Thank you.
